| My country are closing the borders just to stop it. Russia and China have already stopped all meat shipments imported from the US and Mexico. It's at level 4 on a six-level scale. This could start an epidemic. _________________ If you require an urgent response to any sort of question or suggestion, please feel free to e-mail me at uzicordero@gmail.com.

| I'm still not entirely convinced myself...while the deaths in Mexico are saddening and a cause for concern, there's not enough evidence for me that this particular strain of influenza is going to cause a pandemic. It hasn't yet caused severe problems for the people who've caught it who were staying abroad in Mexico, and many of those worst affected where the people in Mexico who worked in direct contact with pigs.
I think I might have been more worried by the suggestions in the media of millions being affected, had the media been less dramatic on previous occasions. S.a.r.s. came in a roar of media fear, and then simply melted away again without a trace...and in Britain, B.S.C. or 'mad cow disease' was plastered over the front pages of the media for years, and a million were expected to die from it... I believe the eventual death count was below a hundred.
So I'm going to ignore it for now and see if it still merits worry in six months....at any rate, countries are taking suitable precautions for the time being.

| Well, Swine Flu was actually not bad for you at all, until it mutated with bird flu and human influenza.
But im not worried. The only reason the people in Mexico died was that they didn't have a good enough health service to save them. MEDCs like the USA and UK and France and whatever will be perfectly fine.
Also, there are 160 deaths so far. |

| I believe that the great majority of health officials and health groups have actively responded to claims about the risk of catching swine flu through pork as being unfounded. The information provided by these health groups states that it is not possible to catch a viral infection through pig's meat that has been processed and cooked (thus killing the bacteria and other organisms on it).
So don't panic about eating pork/ham/bacon, if the only reason you're not doing so is fear of the Swine Flu. The virus travels from living pig to person, or in rarer cases, person to person.
I still await stronger evidence that this is actually worth panicking about. And why worry about it anyway? We've no control over the movements of a flu virus anyway. No point letting it get you down!
In fact, evidence suggests that increased levels of stress weaken your immune system....so the more you worry, the more chance there is of you catching a virus such as flu =P
So DON'T worry! =DDD

| Also, you aren't going to die if you get it. Medical treeatments have been made and scottish people with it are healing, so nothing will happen.

| Nor has Australia. Our hospitals are trying their best to prevent the flu from killing the victims. But the pigs are so friendly, awww! |
