Well, it’s been going around the internet for ages and finally its here, the announcement of the new Pokemon games, remakes of Gold and Silver.
And what are these games called, you may ask? Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Apart from the names, and the release time in Japan, Autumn/Fall 2009, near November 21st when the originals came out, nothing is known.
Well, when I say nothing I mean an eensy-teensy bit. We know that you will start off in New Bark Town, as before. It has also been confirmed that brand new features, never before seen in the series, will be introduced. Oh, and some more plot tweaks. Couldn't forget them now, could they?

These are the logos for the games but in Japanese(sorry!)
The tenth anniversary remakes will be called Pokémon Heart Gold and Poké Soul Silver — much akin to the Fire Red and Leaf Green Gameboy Advance remakes of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.
The original Gold and Silver sold 23 million copies worldwide. Expect the DS remakes this autumn in Japan with newly added elements.

10th may 2009:

The footage of Game play came out today, and it seems you have your starter pokemon behind you at all times walking. The new sprites look good, even though I have only seen a few. It will surely live up to its predecessors.

in Japan, it'll come out in Fall of 2009, and in America and Britain it'll come out in Spring of 2010.
